ashley morales is a graduate from Rider University with a Bachelor’s degree in Filmmaking and English (with a concentration in writing) and a minor in Cinema Studies. she is a staff writer for MovieJawn, an online writing collective based in Philadelphia that is dedicated to the love of film. she is also a Teaching Artist with the Philadelphia Film Society and has taught filmmaking and film criticism to high schoolers in the area.

her love for filmmaking came about when she created shorts with her siblings on her mothers camcorder. her love for writing and appreciating film really took off when she watched Léon: The Professional at the ripe age of 13.

a fan of documentary, narratives, and horror, ashley writes and helps to develop shorts within these genres of interest.
